Well, what an incredible Autumn we’ve had here at Windmill Animal Farm!
Our Great Pumpkin Adventure has been an absolute success, and I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came along, picked their pumpkins, braved the weather and made so many wonderful family memories in our brand-new Pumpkin Barn. Seeing all your fantastic feedback has made every bit of hard work worthwhile!
But there’s no time to put our feet up just yet…
🎄 THE COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS HAS BEGUN! 🎄
We’re now turning our attention to preparing for this year’s magical Santa Train Experience, and I honestly cannot wait!
From transforming the farm into a winter wonderland, decorating the train, welcoming our elves and getting Santa ready to meet all the boys and girls, there’s so much magic to create behind the scenes.

BUT DON’T FORGET… THE FARM IS OPEN AS NORMAL!
Our animals still need feeding, our farm train is running, and there’s plenty of fun to be had whatever the weather!
PLAY DAYS ARE AVAILABLE TOO!
Bring the little ones along and enjoy our fantastic Play Days, where ADULTS GO FREE! It’s the perfect opportunity for a family day out without breaking the bank.
So whilst we’re busy preparing for Christmas, there’s still plenty happening here at Windmill Animal Farm!

Since 1938, Windmill Animal Farm has been the Slinger Family’s residence. Originally, we operated as dairy, cattle, and sheep farmers, delivering fresh milk to our local villagers.
In 1990, during a family holiday in Wales, we explored a farm visitor attraction, returning home brimming with ideas. Consequently, on the 1st of August 1992, we opened our gates to the public.
Presently, our farm boasts an incredible array of rare breed and exotic farm animals, along with top-notch indoor and outdoor play areas in Lancashire.
Windmill Farm has provided four generations of family farmyard enjoyment, and now, we’re eager to share it all with you.
Come and immerse yourself in the daily workings of our farm. Observe, feed, and interact with many of our splendid animals and their young.

Don’t let the rain dampen your spirits! At our farm, the majority of activities are undercover, so you can still visit and have a great time! Come rain or shine, you can enjoy our Indoor soft play, meet our Farmyard Friends, experience Cuddly Critters, ride the farm train, and much more. Create wonderful memories down on the farm!

A Great Family Day Out!
Bearded Dragons, Geckos, Pythons, a Salmon Boa Constrictor and a Chilli Rose Tarantula spider.
The farm train runs to the Lake View Station starting at 11.00am, and then every half hour until 4.00pm.
