Visitor Information

We would like to draw your attention to the following before you visit the farm.

  • Children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times
  • We do not allow dogs on to the farm
  • Please treat our animals with respect and kindness, and NEVER hug or kiss our animals
  • Please be aware that animals may nip or bite on occasions 
  • Please supervise your children while feeding the animals
  • Please DO NOT feed horses, donkeys or pigs
  • Please only use the animal feed provided by the farm
  • Please ensure hands are flat when feeding animals
  • Please always wash your hands after feeding or touching animals
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY, please enjoy your day on the farm!

 

Please note, it is still advisable that all visitors continue to wear a face mask indoors throughout all venues including ourselves. Please see the Government advice here. Please ensure you have clicked on the link regarding guidance on face coverings, when to wear them and exemptions. 

We have also put the following measures in place:

  • Additional Informative Signage
  • Extra Hand Sanitisers and Wash Stations
  • Extra Cleaning Regimes Throughout All Visitor Areas

Please use the hand washing and sanitiser stations continuously throughout your visit.

Here at Windmill Animal Farm we have always had a strict cleaning policy and this continues to be a top priority.

We ask that whilst on the farm, you are mindful of your Social Distancing Responsibilities and that you keep your children under supervision at all times. 

We are continually following the ever-changing Government Regulations and Guidelines.

What is open?

  • All indoor and outdoor animal interaction areas.
  • Coffee Shop/Restaurant  – you are most welcome to eat indoor and outdoors. See our locally sourced menu here.
  • All indoor & outdoor play areas/equipment are fully open.
  • Farm Yard Friends including our guinea pig and rabbit experience
  • Our Critters2u room and experience
  • Lambing time! (seasonal) Come and meet new life on the farm!
  • Farm Train.
  • Also, not forgetting all our other friendly farmyard animals.
  • Toilet facilities

The farm train runs to the Lake View Station starting at 11.00am, and then every half hour until 4.00pm.
