The Soay is the oldest breed of sheep in the British Isles. They originate from the Scottish Hebredean Island of Soay.

They have a will of their own and dislike being driven or contained. They behave very much like a mountain goat.

The male soay is called a Ram
The female soay is called a Ewe
The baby soay is called a Lamb
