The steam locomotive, Katie, has been lovingly restored by Austin Moss over the last five years at a cost of around £20,000. Katie, weather permitting, will be running the farm train from the Early May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Long regarded as one of the best features of our farm, the wonderful 15" gauge miniature railway crosses the farm with a track which is over one mile in length. Visitors can disembark at the Lake View Station and look at the lovely scenery, relax and have picnics, whilst the children play on the new play area.

The train runs every day the farm is open, starting at 11.00am, and is always on time every half hour until 4.30pm.

The miniature railway, is owned and run by Austin Moss, who constructed the railway himself, laying all the track and making some of the engines and coaches in his workshop here at the farm. The train, which usually has a diesel locomotive, is run by Austin and his team of dedicated volunteers.
